waiting

They do say waiting is the hardest part
And I cannot disagree with this fact
But then, ah, how waiting
Can let your mind explore, move to places
You'd never thought of before.
I sit and wait now and imagine
What will be said and
Felt, and yes, of course, I fear
But this cannot be avoided.
Fear stimulating a mind of creativity
Jumping from one direction to the next
Seeing the worst and best in the shortest of times
Then once all arrives and the waiting is over
All you have imagined is over too
What remains better the reality or the waiting
This is something I'll mentally be debating.
